Frequently Asked Questions
General
What operating systems does Nexus support?
Nexus currently supports Windows 10 (64-bit) and later. macOS and Linux support may be added in future releases.
What file formats can Nexus open?
See the Supported File Formats page for a complete list.
Do I need an internet connection to use Nexus?
An internet connection is required for the initial sign-in. After that, Nexus works offline for up to 7 days. See Offline Mode for details.
Data
How much data can Nexus handle?
Nexus is designed for large datasets. It uses a two-tier memory management system to handle gigabytes of imaging and spectral data efficiently.
Can I load data from multiple instruments at once?
Yes. Nexus is designed to load and synchronize data from multiple file formats simultaneously. All time-correlated signals align on the shared timeline.
Where does Nexus store my data?
Nexus does not copy or move your data files. It reads them from their original location on disk. Session tokens and application settings are stored in your operating system’s app data directory.
Can I undo changes to my workspace?
Workspace changes (adding, removing, or reordering signals) take effect immediately. There is no undo system at this time. Removing a signal from the workspace does not delete the source data file.
